Who is Fermob?
Two words epitomise Fermob furniture :
Outdoor Lounge. Outdoor, for everything which attracts and draws us
outside to recharge our batteries ; and Lounge, for our desire to relax
and feel at ease. In brief, Fermob furniture is part of the pleasure
gained from the positive effects of nature, such as getting together in
a garden, improvising a terrace on a beach or creating a green paradise
in one’s own back yard…

Good for the Environment Fermob was the first furniture company to sign the VARAPE agreement for special waste recycling, collection and disposal; in addition, Fermob is also set to gain the ISO 14001* accreditation by the end of the year. At the heart of Fermob there is a deep respect for the environment, in the production of its furniture any waste occured during production is sorted and recycled. Furthermore Fermob has selected a green choice of mateirals for its outdoor lounge range:Iron and aluminium : materials recycled to over 95% the world over, thanks to an organised and well-managed recycling process. The sorting and recycling of metal in refuse centres was the first recycling circuit to function effectively throughout the world. Consequently, Fermob can guarantee that its furniture is not only recyclable, but – more importantly – actually recycled. Outdoor Technical Fabrics (OTFs) : Fermob’s suppliers are among the most demanding in terms of sustainable development. For example, Fermob’s leading OTF supplier is committed to a unique patented recycling process, Texyloop®, which can recycle 100% of components. All scraps and offcuts of OTF resulting from the manufacture of Fermob chairs are therefore recycled. Ecological paint protects both the environment and your health : the powder paints used by Fermob (DuPont®, 100% polyester powder) contain no solvents. They are 100% recyclable and are recycled in our zero-waste installation All other waste is sorted and recycled. Wood : used only for our “Bistro Naturel” seats, comes exclusively from sustainably managed, PEFC-certified european forests. |

The
Materials & Treatment for Full Outside Use Innovations developed by the car industry mean that today they can be used in all weathers. Fermob furniture is either exclusively made of metal or used in combination with tear-proof Outdoor Technical Fabric, PVC-coated polyester or rot-proof wood. |

Fermob furniture undergoes
several stages of rust-proofing followed by two paint
stages: a Fermob-exclusive process in one of the most
efficient plants in Europe. Two treatments are proposed : - The paint is a DuPont® powder, 100% polyester, anti-UV, deposited electrostatically on the furniture for optimal coverage, then baked at 193°, just like in the car industry. |
